In 2018, Ag Innovations convened and facilitated a stakeholder input process and summit with leaders and stakeholders in the Biodynamic Farming movement, including farmers and ranchers; gardeners and homesteaders; processors, distributors and retailers; certified entities and certifiers; those in academia, research and advocacy; education, and preparation makers.
The input process and summit focused on creating a shared vision of what is emergent, possible, and needed in the biodynamic movement, designing strategies that would lead to the expansion of biodynamic practices and principles, and developing principles for relationships in the ecosystem that would enable maximum synergies to be developed. By the end of the summit, the conveners and attendees had identified a path forward, to:
- Strengthen community connectivity and trust.
- Create a path for growth of the movement that honors the deep integrity of biodynamic practice.
- Reach out to the public with a clear message of what Biodynamic farming is and why it matters.
“Ag Innovations is an inspiring partner for work that’s game-changing in the way that communities—including farmers and the agriculture sector, philanthropic organizations, food security, food justice and culture organizations, food companies, and those linking environmentalism to economics to the future of food—are thinking about and identifying approaches to sustainable change. ”
